For months now we’ve been enjoying and kept updated with Lina’s content on her social medias and she has truly inspired us. We urge you to read on for this exciting interview! #StayInspired

How did you get into photography in the first place?

Well since I was 6 I just KNEW I wanted to be a photographer! My dad is a photographer and a visual artist himself. Whenever we would go on hikes or walks together, he would always have his camera with him and I would be so jealous that I would literally cry until he gave me the camera to hold.I have never showed people my work before just because I wasn’t confident enough. A special person was taken away from my life and left me with so many courageous lessons to remember. Finally, after 5 years, I purchased my very first camera. Through photography ,I learned to capture unique moments, go on intense hikes, and meet rad new folks!

How would you describe your vision/style?

I haven’t found my “Yes-This-Is-The-One” yet but that is totally ok! My vision constantly changes every second. I want to be known as someone who is brave enough to create something new and authentic. I love vintage and moody tones. Black and white tones are a must because of how many old films I watch. It is a love/hate relationship with saturation and vibrancy. Most of my childhood was growing up in the PNW, so I don’t mind the fog or a little rain . I want to capture candid moments mostly. It is a beauty being able to catch someone in their natural act. It adds life to your pictures.

What is your gear setup like?

My essential gear is minimalism. I prefer simplicity and workable. I shoot with my Canon 6D with 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8.

What was it that made you decide to stick with photography?

During any photoshoot, the clients I work with are amazing! Most of them go on telling me about their recent Japan missionary work or how they discovered an island cave! I can’t get enough of their epic stories. And some I have grown close with through out the years. Definitely a big thank you to my family and friends who are supportive and are the most radical human beings! They have kept me going on my journey.

What or who do you get the most inspiration from?

If you think about it, the word is beautifully made by our Creator. Imagine how many blessings we have in this modern world. We have freedom for inspiration. We can find inspiration in a book, in a tree, in a coffee cup(preferably strong espresso with lots of crema on top). For me personally, I find inspiration in the most unlikely places. I find inspiration in films, music, storytellers, and best of all, I find inspiration in coffee shops. I find inspiration in heroic leaders who have stood up for their beliefs. I find inspiration in my friends, my family, and to random strangers I meet. Always stay inspired.
